ALCOAST 474/23 SUBJ: FY2024 WORKFORCE PLANNING TEAM RESULTS - MONETARY AND NON-MONETARY INTERVENTIONS

This ALCOAST announces the results of the Military Workforce Planning Team (MWPT) FY 2024 deliberations regarding monetary and non-monetary interventions for enlisted and officer personnel. Specifically, this ALCOAST authorizes Enlistment Bonuses (EB), Critical Skills Training Bonuses (CSTB), Critical Skills Retention Bonuses (CSRB), Selective Reenlistment Bonuses (SRB), and Aviation Bonuses (AvB), as authorized in accordance with REF (A).

EXTENDED ACTIVE DUTY (EAD) AND INTEGRATION OPPORTUNITIES FOR RESERVE MEMBERS APPROACHING OR BEYOND 16 YEARS OF ACCUMULATED ACTIVE DUTY SERVICE

To help mitigate current enlisted workforce shortages in critical ratings, RPM will exercise leniency in approving waivers to allow reserve enlisted members to enter EAD contracts or integrate into the Regular Component of the Coast Guard and later attain regular retirement.
