DIRECT ACCESS 

The Pay and Personnel Center (PPC) Customer Care Branch is receiving a high volume of phone calls and email inquiries from customers indicating Direct Access is down, timing out, or not accessible. If you or your members are experiencing any of the below error codes, please submit your concerns to C5ISC via CGFIXIT Ticket with a screenshot of the error code along with the IP Address you are attempting to log into DA from. PPC is unable to resolve Direct Access connectivity and system issues. Anyone outside of the CG network may call CGFIXIT for assistance at (855) 243-4948.

Errors identified:

  • Spinning circle
  • DA Link is timing out
  • 404 Error code
  • Authorization Error – Contact your Security Administrator
  • Hmmm… Can’t reach this page

SUBJ: UPDATED CRITICAL HOUSING AREA (CHA) POLICY

1. This ALCOAST announces the promulgation of REF (A) and
the cancellation of REF (B). REF (A) authorizes significant
quality of life enhancements for accompanied and unaccompanied
members, summarized below.
2. Critical Housing Areas (CHA) policy has been updated to allow
members in receipt of PCS orders to a CHA location, or assigned to
an area that is subsequently designated a CHA, to request Basic
Allowance for Housing, and if applicable Cost of Living Allowance
in the Continental Unites States, for a location other than members'
Permanent Duty Station, or in the case of unaccompanied members,
for the location of members' residence.
3. In all cases the criteria set forth in REF (A) must support
non-availability of housing.
4. For policy questions contact COMDT (CG-1M2) at
HQS-SMB-CG-Housing@uscg.mil.
5. RADM M. W. Raymond, Assistant Commandant for Military Personnel
(CG-1M), sends.
6. Internet release is authorized.
