Mission Statement: To support the fleet’s ability to plan, execute, and ensure reimbursement for Coast Guard temporary and permanent change of station travel by:

  • Managing: System access, audits, training, processing all separation and retirement claims, civilian PCS claims, and communication with stakeholders (contractors, IT, finance, etc.).
  • Optimizing: User experience for Coast Guard travelers and Approving Officials.
  • Ensuring: System accuracy, functionality, and compliance with regulations.

Mission Statement: Ensuring a smooth transition from the Coast Guard to you next milestone!

  • Certify Death Gratuity and final pay entitlements for deceased service members. Issue payments to NOK.
  • Issue final pay and allowances for all separating service members to include separation pay or disability severance pay when authorized.
  • Establish Out of Service Debts. Notify former members of debt.
  • Review/correct disposition of accrued leave and deduct final pay for monies owed to the government
  • Review tax reports; verifying income and tax withholding. Adjust federal, state and FICA tax as needed. Adjust taxes for Combat Tax Exclusion and Combat Leave.
  • Issue Retirement, Presidential Appreciation and Spousal Appreciation Certificates to all retiring members.
  • Issue IRS Forms W-2 & 1095c to all military members. Issue corrected W2s as needed.
  • Issue Total Qualifying Service Letter (TQS) and Survivor Benefit Plan Election form (SBP) to all Reservists completing 20 years of qualified service.
  • Process Verification of Employment under the FOIA.
  • Process Incapacitation Pay for Reservists.

Mission Statement: Provide accurate, effective, and efficient legal advice and services to the PPC command and staff and PPC external customers on legal matters and issues affecting PPC operations and activities. Additionally, provide legal support to CG-LGL and PSC-SJA on pay-related issues affecting the Coast Guard.

  • Provide accurate, well researched, and relevant legal advice to the PPC command and staff.
  • Ensure legal sufficiency of court orders and application documents used to determine division of retired pay entitlements under 10 U.S.C. §§ 1408.
  • Ensure legal sufficiency of court orders and application documents used to determine Survivor Benefit Plan (SBP) entitlements under 10 U.S.C. §§ 1447-1454.
  • Ensure legal sufficiency of court orders and application documents used to implement involuntary allotments from commercial creditor judgements.
  • Serve as Coast Guard's designated agent for legal process and ensure legal sufficiency of court orders and application documents used to implement child and spousal support orders.
  • Ensure legal sufficiency of court orders and implement actions for debtors seeking relief in Bankruptcy Court, including filing claims as a creditor in Bankruptcy Court on behalf of the Coast Guard.
  • Provide dependency determinations for members seeking to make individuals, such as wards and parents, their family member dependent.
  • Respond to FOIA and Privacy Act requests received at the PPC.
  • Provide legal counsel and advice to the PPC command and staff on employee relations and labor management issues.
  • Assist with implementing new statutory provisions impacting on pay-related matters.
  • Provide review and recommendations to CG-LGL on BCMR applications with pay-related issues.
  • Serve as the Servicing Personnel Office for members in confinement or on appellate leave, ensuring that member pay and personnel actions are timely and accurately processed.
