HIV Program

HIV Testing Procedures
HIV tests are required every 2 years or if medically indicated for Coast Guard personnel.  The Coast Guard is managing the HIV Program in conjunction with the Navy Central HIV Program (NCHP).  All HIV Tests will be ordered using one of the following three methods:

  • PGUI/CHCS
  • Medical Readiness Reporting System (MRRS)

HIV Policy
Coast Guard personnel who are found to be HIV Antibody positive may be retained in the service.  For additional information contact the Coast Guard HIV program manager at CG-112.
