What is a RAD?
Retiree Appreciation Days (RADs) are designed for retirees and personnel preparing to transition out of the Coast Guard. Retiree Appreciation Days are a great source of information for retirees, spouses and family members. RADs vary from installation to installation, but, in general, they provide an opportunity to listen to guest speakers, renew ID Cards, get medical checkups, and various other services. Some RADs include special events such as dinners or golf tournaments. For more information, contact the Retirement Services Officer (RSO) sponsoring the RAD. Visit the Army Retirement Services Office (RSO) web page for a complete listing of RADs.
Can Coast Guard auxiliary members serve as volunteers at retiree services desks?
Yes, they must complete the self-paced volunteer training program. For more information e-mail the CG Retiree Services Program Manager.
Former Spouse ID Card and Medical Information
