Purpose of Program
A healthy and fit Coast Guard workforce is critical for optimal mission performance. An abundance of research shows that lifestyle factors such as dietary choice, exercise habits, stress management methods and alcohol / tobacco use are key determinants of health outcomes, risk of injury, and work performance. Weight Probation Resources
- Required to get a referral to Primary Care Manager (PCM) to determine cause of weight gain. Command shall refer member to PCM by filling out Section 1 of the (SF-600 Command Weight Referral Form). PCM's shall fill out Section 2. Members shall inform command of any medical problems with losing weight or starting an exercise program.
