Can I access my PST or Email Archive files while connected through VPN?

PRINT  |  E-MAIL

You can access PST files from your Coast Guard-issued laptop while connected to VPN; however, these files are large and may be slow or unresponsive. To alleviate the issues, try to avoid moving email into/out of PSTs while connected to VPN. Email mailbox sizes were recently increased, which should reduce the need for actively managing PST files. If you need to reference email from a PST archive, we recommend plugging into your office workspace. Prior to unplugging your computer, follow the instructions provided in the below portal link below: https://cg.portal.uscg.mil/units/c4itsc/reference/Library/Job%20Aids_Tech%20Tips/C4ITSC_FSD_TechTip_Win10_WorkingOffline.pdf
