Telephone inquiries will be accepted concerning the availability of the facilities; however, reservations will not be accepted by telephone. Please use the online reservation system to check availability, it is the same system we will use if you call us.

 

Expand List item 404Collapse List item 404  Can I bring my own boat or watercraft?

USCG Station Marathon policy is as follows: No trailered personal boats/watercraft are allowed to be stored on, or launched from, the Station. Canoes and kayaks that are not trailered are permitted on the property, but can not used or launched from the base.  You can put your non tailored watercraft in the water aprox 2 miles from the base at Sombero Beach and other locations as well.  Your lodge host can provide you with locations to launch your Non-Trailored watercraft.

We have two Mako 22 ft boats - Evinrude Motors 200 HP - $95.00 boat fee plus gas and oil charges for what you used, gas refilling here at the Station.

Requirements - Sponsor (ID Card Holder) only can rent the boats and 5 people to a boat max.
Sponsor MUST provide a current Florida Boating safety certificate Or Coxswain Certificate from the Coast Guard. 

A 10 question refresher quiz is given before boats go out, any more than 2 incorrect answers, renter must come back the following day for a new test. The Lodge Hosts have final say on rentals.

No boats rented during inclement weather and / or if wind speeds and gusts are 15 mph or higher. This is checked at time of rental on line with a live buoy report and can be rechecked hourly

Cottage and RV Guests have priority 0800 - 1600 (Boats are back at 1600)

Remember a 2 day minimum stay required and we are unable to accept requests with a check-in or check-out on a Federal Holiday.

Online reservations are processed daily, Tuesday through Friday.  If we are able to process your application you will receive a confirmation and receipt for payment by  EMAIL. Please do not use your .mil (dot mil) email accounts, you will not receive the confirmation.
