Comptroller & Base Operations
The Comptroller/Base Operations Department is responsible for the financial management, physical security, food services, warehouse operations, port services, shipping & receiving, and most general logistics support services at Base Ketchikan. The Department operates under the technical authorities of CG-8, CG-6, CG-4, CG-1112, DCMS, FINCEN, and SILC.
The Comptroller/Base Operations Department Head serves as the principal fiscal policy, budget, and funds execution advisor to the Base Ketchikan Command and other Departments.

The following Divisions operate under the supervision of the Comptroller/Base Operations Department Head:
Finance & Accounting - Maintains and reconciles D17 staff, Base Ketchikan, and several other tenant units’ program element accounts, prepares financial reports, and executes the Base Ketchikan DOL and SILC budgets.

Logistics - Manages the D17 AOR general purpose property, motor vehicle, freight transportation, and HAZMAT transportation certification programs. Operates the Base Ketchikan shipping and receiving, mail, and port services.

• Galley & Crow’s Nest - Operates Base Ketchikan's Dining Facility and maintains the food services operational reports as well as managing the enlisted club.

Security - Oversees the Base Ketchikan Duty Sections, Security Augmentation Force, and gate guard contract. Manages and enforces policies and procedures for vehicle access, parking, and traffic at Base Ketchikan.
