The San Francisco Bay Area is privileged to have an active Retiree Council that welcomes as members all branches of the military. The Northern California Coast Guard Retiree Council (NCCGRC) holds an annual half-day Retiree Seminar on Coast Guard Island.

There are several other services on CG Island that Retirees can make use of, to include the Galley, the Auto Hobby Shop, Gymnasium, Pool and other MWR Programs, the CG Exchange and Gas Station.
