CWTSato - Effective 10/01/2021-9/30/2022

Under the Coast Guard travel management center task order with CWTSato two options are provided for making travel arrangements and different service fees are applied.  Self service transactions are the preferred reservation types as they incur a much lower cost.  These reservations are made where there is no agent intervention.  For self service transactions where a CWTSato customer service agent totally or partially works a reservation a service fee will be applied and noted on the reservation documents.  If at any time a customer service agent has to intervene with a reservation made in ETS, the service fee will automatically be increased to the non-self service fee.  For example, there are numerous airlines that are classified as exception carriers that require agent intervention to complete the reservation.  When reservations are made with one of these carriers the non-self service fee is automatically incurred even if the reservation is made through ETS. Again, use of ETS is the preferred method of making all reservations.

Fare Selection within  ETS

When making reservations, selection of the correct fare is important to conserving scarce travel dollars and to ensure the selection will result in reimbursement of the full cost to the traveler.  Assuming the specific flights meet the mission requirements, travelers should always select the _CA fare first, then the _YCA fare, then the _DG fares, if available.  For more information on selection of the correct fare, please refer to the What Fare Should I Use Guide?, the GSA-CPP_vs_DG Fares Policy Review document, and the CPP_Non-Contract-Orders-Examples.

Update Your User Profile for Secure Flight Compliance

The Secure Flight passenger vetting program will begin asking passengers to enter their full name - as it appears on the government issued identification they will be traveling with - when making airline reservations. Coast Guard travelers, using the ETS program should ensure their full name appears in their user profile. In addition, travelers need to ensure their date of birth and gender are populated in the systems when making reservations.

Want to provide feedback on CWTSato's Service?

The below process defines how you can provide feedback directly to the Coast Guard's Contracting Officer's Technical Representative for the ETS2 Contract.  Before providing your feedback, please consider the following:

1.  All official travel (e.g. airline, bus, ship, Alaska Marine Highway System (AMHS), rental vehicle) must be arranged through a Government Contracted TMC in accordance with the JTR/FTR, even if a non-contract fare is being purchased.  The contracted TMC for the Coast Guard is CWTSato.

2.  If you are considering comparing the CWTSato ticket costs which are generally GSA contracted fully-refundable fares with a non-refundable fare from Orbitz, Travelocity, etc. is not a fair comparison.  If you want to use a non-refundable fare to save money, please ensure your orders authorize it.

Please include the following information with your feedback:

        a.  Feedback Type: [Positive/Negative]
        b.  Traveler's First Name
        c.  Traveler's Last Name
        d.  Traveler's EMPLID
        e.  Travel Record Locator Number
        f.   Date CWTSato Service Provided
        g.  Date of Travel
        h.  Traveler's Business Phone
        i.   Booking Method (Full/Self-Service)
        j.   Your Specific Traveler Feedback

Please send the above information to  HQS-SMB-CGPSC-CITI-GTCC  and we will strive to provide a timely response to any feedback received.  ETS is only to be used for official government TDY travel and only when the reservation is being charged to an individually billed government travel charge card.  Travelers without an individually billed government travel charge card must continue to call CWTSato for transportation
