Advisory Board on Women in the Coast Guard
The Coast Guard has selected advisors for a new board that will provide recommendations on matters relating to recruiting, retaining, advancing, and the wellbeing of women who serve in the Coast Guard. The Advisory Board on Women in the Coast Guard was authorized by Public Law 116– 283 (JAN. 1, 2021), also known as the William (Mac) Thornberry National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021. Nominations were first sought in January of 2023.
