Command Assignment Preparatory Training (CAP-T) (502809)

About the Course

The purpose of the course is to provide current/prospective Commanding Officers (CO) and Executive Officers (XO) with leadership tools to carry out their role as a unit leader within the organization.  This course will prepare Command Cardre to safely and effectively conduct operations at their assigned units by building a positive workforce environment. The course will focus on themes related to proficiency in leadership: Command Responsibility, Authority & Accountability, Command Climate, and Mission Support/Execution.


Eligibility

Officers assigned, or in receipt of, Permanent Change of Station (PCS) orders as a CO, (or XO based upon availability) to any ashore unit except for boat forces units. This course is an approved command leadership course.  Priority is given to those personnel who are not eligible to attend a community-specific command preparatory course.


Application Procedures

Coordinate with your Training Officer or ESO to submit an Electronic Training Request (ETR) using Direct Access.
