The National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) requires all Federal agencies to consider the impacts of proposed actions on the human environment and involve the public in the NEPA process. The Environmental Planning and Historic Preservation (EPHP) Team publishes all Environmental Impact Statements and Environmental Assessments of regional or national significance for public notice and comment. DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT FOR PROPOSED REBUILD OF STATION FORT MYERS BEACH AT U.S. COAST GUARD STATION FORT MYERS BEACH, FLORIDA

The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) proposes to demolish existing shore and in-water facilities and redevelop new purpose-built facilities at Station Fort Myers Beach, located in Lee County, Florida. The proposed project would include the construction of a landside Multi-Mission Building and include new parking lots, utilities, and other related infrastructure. In-water work includes replacing an existing bulkhead, replacement of existing piers with a new floating pier, and the installation of a new boat ramp.
