Occupational Safety and Health Branch



The Yard Safety Office is responsible for ensuring compliance with the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) requirements and Coast Guard Safety regulations for Industrial activities within the Shipyard and throughout the SFLC at the Baltimore Yard campus.

The office is supervised by the Quality, Safety and Training Manager and is staffed by two (2) Safety Specialists and an Industrial Hygienist.

  • Shipyard & Industrial Safety inspections/guidance
  • Industrial Hygiene Surveys
  • Hazardous Materials Evaluations
  • Respiratory Protection/Fit Testing, Occupational Safety & Health Training.
