Asset Line Management

Asset Line Management Division consists of two branches, Mission Readiness Product Line (MRPL) and Facility Asset Management (FAM).

The Mission Readiness Product Line is responsible for the lifecycle management of shore infrastructure that impacts the quality of life and resiliency of Coast Guard members and their families.  Asset Line Managers within MRPL provide technical oversight of all CG-owned housing, community services facilities, and training facilities.  The Product Line manages risk and resources across the entire lifecycle of a shore facility, from initial planning, to acquisition and construction, from operation and maintenance, through disposal. From an enterprise-wide perspective, the Product Line oversees configuration and maintenance standards, develops requirements-based budgeting, directs project prioritization efforts, and analyzes assessment metrics for shore infrastructure investment decision-making. The MRPL makes and supports shore facility decisions in cross-community collaboration with other Coast Guard programs and in alignment with headquarters direction to consistently improve the readiness of CG members.

CEU Oakland Facility Asset Managers (FAMs) can best be thought of as project planners and coordinators for major maintenance and repair projects scattered through the West Coast.  We perform a variety of duties including Customer Service, Facility Assessments, Information Management, and Regional Project Prioritization.  FAMs are the principle point of contact for units needing Civil Engineering advisement, solutions, products, or services.  A FAM frequently serves as the eyes and ears of the Civil Engineering program in the field and functions as the central point of communication between various stakeholders.
