The Coast Guard accepted its 16th missionized HC-130J Super Hercules long range surveillance aircraft Feb. 19, 2024, from L3Harris in Waco, Texas. CGNR 2016 was delivered to Air Station Elizabeth City, North Carolina.


The Coast Guard accepted delivery of its 17th C-130J long range surveillance aircraft Aug. 10, 2023, from Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Marietta, Georgia. The aircraft will operate out of the Aviation Logistics Center in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, until it undergoes missionization at L3Harris in Waco, Texas.


The Coast Guard accepted its 16th C-130J long range surveillance aircraft Nov. 10, 2022, from Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Marietta, Georgia. The aircraft will next undergo missionization which encompasses the installation of the Minotaur Mission System Suite and APY-11 multimode radar at L3Harris in Waco, Texas.

Long Range Interceptor-II

The LRI-II extends the NSC’s and other host vessels’ mission reach, providing high-speed pursuit, interdiction and rescue capabilities.

Characteristics

  • Length: 35 feet
  • Maximum Speed: 40 knots
  • Range: 240 nautical miles

 

Over the Horizon-IV

The OTH-IV is the quick response boat for the NSC and other host vessels.

The Coast Guard engaged industry at the 2018 International Workboat Show Nov. 29, 2018 to provide an early look at the upcoming OTH-V project. The Coast Guard released a request for information (RFI) Dec. 7, 2018, to gather additional information about the Over the Horizon V cutter boat acquisition. The RFI is available here


The Coast Guard on Aug. 30, 2018, awarded a firm-fixed price indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract to MetalCraft Marine U.S. Incorporated of Cape Vincent, New York, for a fleet of cutter boats-large.
