The portfolio of surface acquisition programs recapitalizes the fleet’s cutters, patrol boats and utility craft, as well as improving the operational availability of legacy platforms. The programs of the surface domain – including the national security cutter, offshore patrol cutter, fast response cutter and response boat-medium programs – deliver new and improved platforms to the men and women of the surface forces, while providing state-of-the-market mission equipment to improve their mission capabilities.
