Coast Guard seeks feedback on procurement process through industry survey

The Coast Guard is continuously seeking opportunities to promote and develop strategies for increasing the full spectrum of the industrial base of our contracting program while adhering to federal small business regulations and ensuring diversity, equity and inclusion in the procurement process.

To help us better understand the wants and needs of our industry partners, the service invites industry to complete a short survey that will be used to inform a major transformation effort known as the Buy Better Revolution. Responses to the five-minute survey are due by April 27.

The Buy Better Revolution is an initiative designed to improve overall capabilities while easing the administrative burden on front line units. Its aim is to change how the Coast Guard obtains goods and services and will address all aspects of the life cycle from initial request to final disposal.

The purpose of this survey is to gather Coast Guard industry partner feedback, assess overall sentiments with the service’s purchasing process and create a list of interested participants to engage with the Coast Guard in further discussions. Access the survey at the following link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Q958HKB or via QR code:

Thank you for taking the time to share your insights.

The Coast Guard Office of Small Business, Innovation and Outreach is assisting with the survey; if you have any questions contact them at openforbusiness@uscg.mil. For more information on the Buy Better Revolution, view a recorded webinar here.
