Coast Guard Cutter Thunder Bay completes HVAC upgrade

Coast Guard Cutter Thunder Bay departed Coast Guard Yard in Curtis Bay, Maryland, June 18 after completion of an HVAC system upgrade to increase heating and cooling capacities. Thunder Bay is the second of nine 140-foot icebreaking tugs to undergo this work. The In-Service Vessel Sustainment program restores mission readiness, improves reliability and reduces maintenance costs of the service’s legacy cutter fleet.
