The Coast Guard Academy (CGA) and the Coast Guard Research and Development Center (RDC) created a strategic partnership to promote research, innovation and education with the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) Nov. 22.

The MOU provides blanket authority to the RDC and CGA to work together on research and development tasks of strategic significance to the Coast Guard. The partnership will position the service to maximize the application of science and technology for mission effectiveness.
