The Coast Guard HC-27J Asset Project Office in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, accepted the service’s 12th C-27J Spartan medium range surveillance aircraft April 5, 2017. This aircraft had remained in custody of L3 Technologies Inc. instead of being transferred to the Air Force with the other 13 Spartans the Coast Guard is acquiring.
