Enterprise Victim Advocate Travels to Miami to Listen
WASHINGTON, DC — Capt. Laura Collins, U.S. Coast Guard, retired, the Service’s Enterprise Victim Advocate (EVA), traveled to Air Station Miami to connect with stakeholders to hear a wide range of viewpoints. Her role is to advance efforts to address sexual assault and sexual harassment issues within the workforce, and ensure the Service supports victims of harmful behaviors.

DCMS Kicks Off Next Phase of the Buy Better Revolution
CGHQ, Washington, D.C. — Vice Admiral Paul Thomas, Deputy Commandant for Mission Support, has signed the Contracting & Procurement (C&P) Modernization Blueprint. VADM Thomas also signed the C&P Modernization Program Integration Office (PIO) Charter to create an office responsible for planning and executing the Blueprint’s recommendations.

FORCECOM Bright Spot: Updating Training and Saving Money at TRACEN Yorktown
YORKTOWN, Va. — The Coast Guard Machinery Technician (MK) Schoolhouse’s Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) Group recently received eight replacement engines. With assistance from the Damage Controlman (DC) Schoolhouse, the old engine mount was modified. Completing this project in-house resulted in significant cost savings while ensuring the highest quality standards.
