Description
Selectees study leadership development tactics, strategic change management, and group dynamics through the application of scientific theory at the individual, team, and organizational levels. Students may either attend George Washington University in Washington, DC or complete the program online. Alternate universities may be considered.
As highlighted in the Human Capital Strategy, competence and proficiency in leadership "must be viewed with the same rigor as the Service treats proficiency in other dimensions." The graduate from this program will be called upon to support Leadership initiatives and develop products to improve workforce competence and proficiency in leadership.

12 - 18 months
Eligibility Requirements
Candidates are O-3s who will be tour complete in summer 2022. A bachelors degree in any field must be completed prior to e-resume submission and the educational transcript and standardized test score (GRE) shall be submitted to the CG PSC. It is the applicant's responsibility to ensure that all scores are in their EIPDR and Direct Access prior to the panel convening date. High-performing officers interested in being part of creating tomorrow's leaders are encouraged to apply.
Follow-on Assignments
Graduates can expect follow on assignments at the Leadership Development Center (LDC), Training Centers (TRACEN), or the Office of Leadership (CG-1D2). Assignment to these specific billets ensures subject matter experts are placed within key components of the organization that are responsible for writing policy, institutionalizing leadership competencies and developing theory and training to create leaders of character that can promote positive leadership principles on the job.
