When a shipmate or Coast Guard retiree dies, Coast Guard personnel have always nobly assisted the bereaved family by making funeral arrangements and helping the next of kin obtain any compensation entitlements they may be due.  The core elements of the funeral honors ceremony, which will be conducted are:

 

 

  • Flag Folding
  • Flag Presentation
  • Playing of Taps

The following States/Counties are assigned to the below:


Pennsylvania (divided into three sections, D5 assigns for following counties, mainly to Sector Del Bay):

PA Counties: Adams, Berks, Bradford, Bucks, Carbon, Chester, Columbia, Crawford, Cumberland, Dauphin, Delaware, Franklin, Fulton, Juniata, Lackawanna, Lancaster, Lebanon, Lehigh, Luzerne, Lycoming, Mifflin, Monroe, Montgomery, Montour, Northampton, Northumberland, Perry, Philadelphia, Pike, Schuylkill, Snyder, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Tioga, Union, Wayne, Wyoming, York

New Jersey: (divided into two sections, D5  assigns for following counties):
